With continued expansion, we are excited to add a Senior Property Manager to our Seaport project. This role will assist in overseeing the management of all aspects of our Seaport portfolio, with a focus on financial performance management, tracking, reporting, and oversight of multiple commercial buildings. This is a newly created, dynamic role and will be part of the Development group at WS, working closely with our Operations Manager and reporting to the Vice President – Seaport.
What to expect
The Senior Property Manager will be primarily responsible for the forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting for the Seaport properties. These responsibilities will include: development of operating and annual budgets, tracking of variances, and management of tenant and CAM reconciliations, as well as monthly and quarterly reporting. The Senior Property Manager will need to ensure timely reporting from tenants to produce billing of percentage rents as required. In addition, this role will be required to maintain interface with potential third party Property Management teams for residential, hotel, and office properties, ensuring the smooth and consistent operations within the portfolio. This role will also be expected to participate actively in the predevelopment process, providing operational and management perspective during the design process for additional mixed-use buildings in our Seaport development pipeline.
What We Are Looking For
An ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about the industry, our projects, loves to work collaboratively, and has previous experience managing Class-A commercial properties in Boston. This individual will also interact with individual building Property Management teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring that the portfolios are operating in line with the owner’s goals, objectives, and operating standards.
Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years of previous experience managing at least one Class-A commercial property in Boston, preferably one that encompassed a mix of uses.
A Degree in Accounting/Finance is highly desirable
Must have thorough knowledge of financial reports, including budgeting, general ledgers, CAM estimate/reconciliations and variance reporting
Understanding of construction/facility management related to tenant improvement and capital expenditure projects. General understanding of Class-A building systems
