Roundup: Five Fitness Studios Opening Soon

Barry’s Bootcamp, Btone, Everybody Fights, and YogaWorks are growing.

Boston is already a fitness junkie’s paradise. But if you’ve found yourself itching for a new gym lately, you’re in luck. A flurry of expansions have been announced recently, with four already-popular studios bringing a total of five new locations to neighborhoods around Boston. Here’s what’s on deck:

Studio: YogaWorks
Opening date: Fall 2016

It was big news when we heard YogaWorks is coming to The Street in Chestnut Hill. This fall, the shopping complex will welcome a 4,500-square-foot studio featuring two practice rooms, a retail boutique, showers, and full locker rooms.

Studio: BTone Fitness
Opening dates: December 2016 and 2017

The Pilates-focused studio, which already has five Massachusetts locations, is bringing two more to the Boston area. First up, it’ll open its doors in Southie, hopefully as soon as December of this year.

A second location, slated to open sometime in 2017, will join the fitness bonanza at The Street. The Chestnut Hill studio will boast the newest type of Pilates Megaformer machines.

Studio: Barry’s Bootcamp
Opening date: Winter 2017

Barry’s Bootcamp announced in August that it’s also joining The Street in the coming months. The high-intensity bootcamp chain’s latest location will feature a 50-person studio; fully stocked men’s and women’s locker rooms; and a juice, smoothie, and snack bar.

Studio: EverybodyFights
Opening date: Early 2017

EverybodyFights, the popular boxing gym run by George Foreman III, will open a second Boston location at One Federal Street, in the Financial District. The new location will feature three rooms for the gym’s signature class, BoxFiit; an open gym; personal training; a pro shop; and a coffee lounge. You can take a virtual tour here.
