14 new businesses added to The Street in Chestnut Hill

The Street shopping center in Chestnut Hill is adding 14 new tenants in an expansion set to open next year, including Alo Yoga, the outerwear retailer Arc’Teryx and the floral shop Winston Flowers.

Plaza developer WS Development has been remaking a building in The Street that used to house The Container Store and an AMC movie theater. The Container Store has relocated elsewhere at The Street, while plaza now has a Showcase SuperLux theater.

In total, the building is planned to eventually include as many as 25 new tenants. The first will open in the late spring or early summer of 2024.

Other new tenants will include the jewelry store Brilliant Earth, outerwear chain Marine Layer, New England OBGYN Associates, the cafe Pink Carrot and the women’s clothing stores M.M.LaFleur and Reformation.

It will also have the beauty service and products seller Skin Laundry, the workout studio Solidcore, the sauna and cold plunge spot SweatHouz and the clothing retailers Roller Rabbit and WHEAT.

The building at 27 Boylston St. includes 90,000 square feet on three levels, as well as a 64-foot-long footbridge bringing patrons through a tree canopy to the building’s southern facade facing Route 9.

The Street also includes a Star Market, Pottery Barn, Shake Shack and Lululemon.
