An Albright-Knox Art Gallery shop and a co-working, event and nightclub space operated by an unidentified company are the newest tenants planned for the former Northtown Plaza site – now dubbed Station Twelve – in Amherst.

 
The developer transforming the Sheridan Drive plaza into a retail and entertainment center revealed the lineup additions at a ceremonial groundbreaking Tuesday.

 
WS Development previously identified 10 tenants, including Public Espresso + Coffee and Vineyard Vines.

 
Demolition on the plaza began two months ago. Construction on the six buildings should finish by summer – with the first shops opening by October.

 
Brian Sciera, WS’ senior vice president for leasing, said Tuesday that Buffalo’s sense of community, rich history and improving economy attracted the company to the area.

 
He described the rebranded Station Twelve as a gathering place and draw for dining and shopping. The center will host outdoor yoga, events for dog owners and a kid-friendly, pre-midnight ball drop New Year’s Eve.
