A Beverly Hills bakery will open its first Florida location in Hyde Park Village.

Sprinkles Cupcakes will open later this spring at 717 S. Dakota Ave., Boston-based WS Development, which owns the South Tampa shopping district, announced Thursday.

The location will include a Cupcake ATM — a touch-screen, climate-controlled vending machine that accepts only credit cards and dispenses cupcakes 24 hours a day.

In addition to cupcakes, Sprinkles will serve ice cream, including waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches and sundaes.

“Since our first day, our No. 1 goal has been to create a truly unique experience at the village,” Gabby Soriano, marketing director, said in a statement. “The addition of Sprinkles does exactly that — bringing L.A.’s favorite tasty treats to the city and offering a fun and exciting dessert option to our customers.”

WS Development has spent the last year adding a mix of national and local retailers and restaurants to Hyde Park Village, including Sur La Table, bartaco and Paper Source. Iconic Tampa burger joint Goody Goody and On Swann are under construction, slated to open early this year as well.
