MarketStreet Lynnfield opens ice rink
It’s that time of year: MarketStreet Lynnfield has for the fourth year opened its outdoor ice skating rink until late February. The 55 feet by 110 feet rink, situated on The Green, sponsored by Lahey Health.
“The annual opening of our ice skating rink is a kickoff to the holiday season here at MarketStreet Lynnfield,” said the shopping center’s general manager, Nanci Horn. “The rink is such a fun and accessible meeting place for friends and families to gather during the winter.”
This year, there will be a special $2 skating discount during MarketStreet’s annual Holiday Stroll on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. It also will be open for use during the New Year’s Eve Block Party on Dec. 31.
“This is a great family destination, and we are excited to be a part of bringing it to the residents of the North Shore,” said Christine Healey, director of community relations at Lahey Health.
Guests can rent skates for $4 or bring their own. Admission is free for children ages 3 and under, $6 for children ages 12 and under, and $8 for those ages 13 and up.
The rink also can be rented for private parities and events. Hours of operation are listed on marketstreetlynnfield.com.
