Pops To Play Free Concert In Chestnut Hill

The annual Pops Concert & Picnic, is scheduled for June 3.

CHESTNUT HILL, MA — Each year since the fancy shopping plaza, “The Street” was built, the folks there have been working to make it not just about shopping, but about an experience. Part of that has been through art installations and other events. Next month the Pops are back with a free concert to help them out as part of the Summertime event series.

The Street’s Pops Concert & Picnic will feature 50 members of the New Philharmonia Orchestra performing a repertoire of classical scores and traditional family favorites on The Green. Rosie’s, Ronsky’s and Treat Cupcake Bar will serve complimentary treats and for al fresco dining during the concert, select restaurants at The Street, including Legal Sea Foods, Del Frisco’s Grille, Bernard’s, The Cottage, and Comella’s, will offer grab-and-go picnic lunches for a fee.

The annual Pops Concert & Picnic, is scheduled for June 3.

This year, Summertime at The Street will feature more than 100 events, ranging from acoustic performances to cardio and yoga classes to kid-friendly activities, according to a press release. The series will also feature special events, including a weekend-long Sidewalk Sale on July 22 and 23.
