Your Mother’s Day weekend selfies can help women in need at these 5 stunning flower pop-ups

These blooms are giving back.

This Mother’s Day weekend, your flower-filled selfie can help women in need.

A Massachusetts-based property developer has teamed up with five local florists to create flower pop-up experiences in five Boston-area spots: the Seaport District, The Street in Chestnut Hill, Derby Street Shops in Hingham, MarketStreet Lynnfield, and Legacy Place in Dedham.

WS Development will donate $1 to Rosie’s Place, a nonprofit organization that serves thousands of poor and homeless women each year in Boston, for every photo visitors post on social media using the hashtag #FlowerPop.

Look for peonies and roses from Wildfolk Studio in an excavator near Courthouse Square in the Seaport. In Dedham, colorful hydrangeas and impatiens from Seoane Garden Center will spill from a 1979 International Scout. Nearly 1,000 French tulips, peonies, roses, and more from Boston Pollen will overflow from a baby grand piano in Chestnut Hill, while 500 flowers — waxflower, roses, carnations, and others — from Consider the Lilies will be inside a white boat in Hingham. In Lynnfield, the iconic Hilltop cows will be adorned in 3,000 roses, lilies, snapdragons, and beyond from Salvy the Florist.

“Rosie’s Place is so pleased that WS Development has thought of us and the mothers we serve on Mother’s Day,” said Michele Chausse, director of communications at Rosie’s Place, in a statement. “Donations such as these are critical to our ability to serve more than 12,000 poor and homeless women each year. We are grateful.”

The first 100 visitors at each display will receive a free flower.
